I just got an i7 4790k and a GTX 780 6gb.. but for some reason I'one thousand getting similar 18fps in games.
I assume this is because the PC is using the "Intel Hd Graphicas 4600" as my master brandish hardware.

How do I get my GTX 780 to piece of work instead of the Intel graphics?

ane. Plug the monitor into the 780 GFX card instead of the MoBo, connect all necessary cables

ii. Install nVidia Drivers.

3. You tin can disable the on board GFX if you lot so cull in BIOS.

Oh, is your monitor cable plugged to GTX 780, or motherboard?
You probably have few DVI/VGA/HDMI ports, but check is it connected to gtx 780's port

Aye I just plugged the dvi cable into the GTX 780,
simply for some reason information technology doesn't give me any notification of a BIOS when I boot upwards PC,on my erstwhile PC a screen would show up and I'd hitting F12 to go into the settings, but with this new comp..it's simply a blackness screen until the windows logo appears.

I have a Gigabyte Z97-HD3

Can y'all try another DVI port (upper one, if yous have 2 on gtx 780)? Too, are y'all using DVI-VGA connector?

I'm using simply a DVI cable, when I plug it into the mobo it shows an even longer black screen and then the display appears when the window welcome screens shows.

I'll endeavor HDMI.

My ASUS Z97-A disabled the onboard automatically when I plugged a dedicated graphics card into information technology. Many do.

Then far we figured out that you did particular nos. 1 and 3 from my original\ post .... how nearly no. ii ?

Download and check w/ GPU-Z

Others I'd get are HWiNFO64, Furmark and Afterburner

You don't demand to see the splash screen to get into the bios, its just a formality, mash F2/del/F12/etc whatever button information technology is for your board then when the display comes on your should be in the bios screen.
